The main reason why you need separate bowling shoes is because you need shoes that are made for bowling. Bowling shoes are made for bowling and sliding to the foul line. Normal everyday shoe picks up water and dirt and you can’t slide. Bowling shoes can help prevent damage by allowing you stop and slide.
